Lara and Nicholas of Harrison got married on the 7th June, 2008 at St Andrews Cathedral in Forrest, followed by a reception at the National Gallery, Sculpture Garden Restaurant. Lara tells us about their wedding…

Initially, The bride was 25 minutes late to the wedding, (thanks to nerves) but the rest of the day went off without a hitch! The weather both days before and after the wedding was dreadful, (winter wedding) but the actual day was calm, still and surprisingly 5 degrees warmer than usual. We had a lone bagpiper pipe me down the aisle (for my part Scottish heritage) and the Grooms father, Brian, was the Minister who conducted the ceremony. It was a very family orientated affair, with 150 at the Ceremony and around 90 at the reception.

Having our friends and family all in one location.

Always prepare for the worst weather! It’s so unpredictable in Canberra.
