Just Details is a website for people planning their Wedding or Commitment Ceremony. Just Details was created to bring the brides (and grooms!) of Canberra together in a helpful and sharing environment, to discuss anything and everything about your Wedding to make it that little bit extra special.

 

The unique thing about this website is that not only does it offer resources, ideas and advice, it also lets you contribute, share ideas, and come together as a community to chat about anything "wedding" in Canberra.

 

It is often the small details that are overlooked when planning an event, but those who have attended a magical wedding will tell you: the attention to the small things, the details, the little extras, were the things that made the event so special.

 

When planning my wedding I found there were so many different things I had to plan and make decisions about. Of course there were big obvious things, like the dress, the venue, the date and theme, and then there were what seemed like millions of little things, like the place cards, the colour of the table cloths and whether or not to have pomanders at the ceremony...

 

One purpose of Just Details is to help you out with the little things, the details of the day.

 

Many people tease me about how organised I am, and how much I plan things in advance, and how much I plan things, down to the very last detail. I don’t mind though, because in the end, I come out the winner, and it’s fun to plan along the way!

 

I had 12 months to plan my wedding, and plan I did! I spent a lot of time online researching, gathering ideas, learning how to do DIY projects, lots of time calculating budgets, working on scenarios and alternatives, job lists, schedules, the whole she-bang. And on the day, it all paid off. I did not have to worry about a single thing. I was not rushed, the time didn’t “fly-by” as so many brides often say it does. I had a lovely relaxing day, knowing that everyone knew what they had to do, knowing everything was in it’s place and knowing I was going to have a great party with all my friends and family.

 

And this all came down to how much time and effort I put into the details of the day.
